Lunch. It can be simple for those of you dropping in on a fishing village expedition. Refreshing or warming, as required. And as swift as we can. Or it can be gastronomically fulfilling for those looking for a more serious lunch.
Best close to the wood-burner during winter, still with a view across the garden out to sea. And on the top terrace in the summer when those gentle south westerlies have flown off for their afternoon siesta.
Through the week (Monday to Saturday) we run the main menu à la carte, with a magnificent value Prix Fixe attachment known as our Lunch for Less. On a Sunday we swap out these menus for our (you guessed it) Sunday Lunch menu and you can see more of that here.
Lunch Menu
A seasonal glance at our daytime dining options. It is just a sample to give you a feel, but don’t hold us to it, our menus do change each and every day.
We’re understand the importance of making our menus flexible so, if you do have any dietary requirements, be sure to tell us at the time of booking or when you sit. Plant-based dishes run through all our menus. These are signalled with a “🌱”. And if you’re bringing children, please do let us know. We’ve a menu for little people available at both Lunch and Supper, although it is not unheard of for parents to switch lanes to order from these menus as well.
Lunch for Less
Many of us who work in restaurants and hotels haven’t had to deal with a consumer recession. The early 1990s feel very distant. Nor had we felt the malevolent influence of inflation. So we’ve been on a learning curve where we’re sure all of our focus must be on creating reassuringly great experiences for our guests. Our one nod to explicit economy is our Lunch for Less which runs alongside our usual lunch menu Monday to Saturday.
