This end of the UK is a well-known haven for painters, printers & photographers. We’ve the quality of light and freshness of air. And rugged cliffs, dramatic seas and rolling countryside providing endless inspiration. Mousehole sits in the middle of this Venn diagram.
We pay homage to the pedigree of local artists and are proud to present their works on our walls. At any given moment you’ll find paintings & prints from a dozen or more artists, usually in the bars and restaurants, but also in the bedrooms. All pieces for sale.
Featured artists
Here’s a handful of some of our artists of the moment. By no means a full team-sheet.
We rely on the discerning eye of our curator and local artist Gillian Cooper to work out the whos, whats and wheres. If you’re interested in seeing your work on our walls or being a part of future exhibitions, you can contact us here.
Graham Black

Graham Black moved to Cornwall after a long career as an art director in London to rekindle his love of printmaking.
His specialism is silkscreen printing focussing on the myriad textural complexities, forms and shapes of the ancient granite rocks and cliffs that dominate Land’s End where he lives.
Gillian Cooper

A multi-disciplinary artist whose work encompasses drawing, print and installation.
Using a highly gestural, particularly stark, semi-figurative language of mark making, Gillian excavates that which is intangible, overlooked or abandoned. Drawn to everyday, found or domestic materials and processes and their uncanny ability to reflect on human nature, the domestic or female, her work is inspired by the realms of landscape, natural history, botany and natural phenomena.
Sara Bevan

Sara Bevan specialises in painting and printmaking and lives in Sennen, near Land’s End. Her paintings range from large mixed media paintings on paper to small works on board oils. She also produces monotypes and monoprints using an etching press.
Sara is a Member of Cornwall craft Association at Trelissick Gallery, Feock and an Associate member of Penwith Society of Arts and also exhibits at The Blue Bramble Gallery, St Ives, Newlyn Pottery and Gallery, Newlyn, Morvah School House, Morvah.
Exhibitions
Our rotation of wonderful artists gives our dining and public spaces a bit of a gallery feel. But once or twice a year we take it up a notch with a full exhibition complete with previews and a chance to meet the artist(s).
If you’d like a heads up on exhibitions, you can stay up to speed with all things art (and more) by becoming a Friend of EATDRINKSLEEP below. You may also pick up the odd piece of non-art related stuff.

Art Exhibition:
“Colourful Sails,
Ripples of Light”

This time of year brings our annual Spring exhibition of work by local artists. The 2026 edition brings us a collection of paintings by award-winning artist, Vicki Norman, featuring traditional Cornish boats and coastal scenes.
Do join us for Meet the Artist on Thursday 2 July. Vicki will also be hosting demos and a workshop. Click below to find out more and see her exhibited paintings.
And in case you missed them (or perhaps you didn’t) see below a list of some of our past shows here in Mousehole. And we’re not even a gallery. We’ve done our best to include links off to our various past exhibitors. Click their names and you can be whisked off to somewhere else on the inter-web.
