Charles Inkin
A product of the world-famous Ballymaloe under Darina Allen and, after working at the Michelin starred Shanks in Belfast, set up The Felin Fach Griffin.
He fell in love with West Cornwall in 1998 and felt he'd return one day. He did and has now been charming visitors to the area in his peculiarly bewhiskered way for 16 years.
The Team
General Manager, Louis Vanhinsbergh, runs our team with the panache you'd expect of someone with such a glamorous surname. Keeping him in check is his right hand woman, and site's 2i/c, Lauren Howard.
Head Chef, Danny Garland, joined us in the role of Sous Chef last Spring. Now he's in charge and brings to our menus a passion for the foraged and the sustainable, having cut his teeth in the kitchens of Yotam Ottolenghi and Theo Randall.
Our Floor team keeps our keel even at all times. It's led by a crew of what we call House Managers who are responsible day in, day out for our guests being beautifully looked after.

The Roundhouse
For anyone staying with us, The Roundhouse is the cornerstone of their stay. It is our name for our reception area and the team who work there.
Tammy is in charge of the team, supported by her team: Lucy, Kirsty, Sara, and Ivana. If you stay with us, you'll get to know them well.
Edmund Inkin
Edmund was brought up in Monmouthshire surrounded by a dairy herd and an immaculate kitchen garden.
A career in London during his twenties took precedence over his love for food and wine but, on receipt of a P45 from a London bank, he joined forces with Charles. He is rightly rarely permitted to talk to guests. |
